There are many unlabeled charities; people who, in their spare time, refurbish computers, put either free or outdated operating systems in them, and give them away to needy families or individuals. I am one of those people, groups also exist. There should be a network of these small groups so that around any area, metropolitan or rural, should exist somewhere these outmoded but not useless items can be refurbished and reused. oh, for crissakes.. can't you see that nothing is as good as direct media on a HDTV? just look at satellite.. all of that mpeg crap is easily visible as distortions on a decent LCD.
to expect an, albeit cute, apple TV to record as clean as straight uncompressed video is insane. If you want perfectly clean tv recordings, then get a $2500 pro quality dvr.
so that would mean that if I bought a legitimate CD IN Russia, i would then, after bringing it into the US, pay the MSRP of the same item, just to make sure I was lining the right pockets the right amount of money?
