One can also have a communist dictatorship - we're very familiar with these. One could have a Socialist Republic. One could also have a mercantile republic (which the states is becoming) or a capitalist republic (which the states were designed for).
Conveniently Paul does feel the way you do. The IRS and many other departments could easily be removed and with it their wasteful spending.
We as a nation have spent so long neglecting our own nation. It's always easier to fix someone else than fix yourself. Our economy is in the tubes and we are rapidly watching each of our strengths as a nation diminished through our action and inaction when looking at a global world. We need to stop focusing on the problems outside this nation and start fixing the ones here.
The people of the United States need to recognize that they control the government. The government represents them. They tell the government what to do rather than the other way around. Of course that would require americans to think for themselves and not just listen to and obey what they are told.

As a non VZW customer, how do I opt out of their sharing of my CPNI? When a VZW customer calls my cell phone, the CPNI for that call is shared by both VZW and my carrier. Without my express permission, I don't understand how VZW could share my CPNI which they have been ordered to protect by the FCC. They are essentially leaking my carrier's CPNI information in the process. Could there be any grounds here for a Class-Action to limit this?
Until such time, I can at least try and ensure I do not take calls from VZW customers. Is there a way to prevent a VZW customer from calling my cell or home number? Is there any information in ANI or elsewhere that would allow me to configure my Asterisk server to reroute all VZW calls to a message announcing that I no longer accept calls from VZW customers due to VZW policy?

You could for instance allow a POST to the authentication URL, while not allowing a POST elsewhere, or you could do a regex search for something common to each message post and deny based on that. You could even go into enough detail to validate the presence of the authentication cookie, and allow a POST while the cookie isn't present and deny if they have already authenticated. More than one way to skin a cat - depends on how granular the proxy will let you get.
Ahhh, to the best of my knowledge, google never made it into the whitelist. It was definitely very restrictive. Only things such as amex, visa, and companies they did business with made it to the whitelist. They didn't allow browsing the internet while at work. Last I checked, there were only 20 URLs in their whitelist.
Depending on the job duties, i suppose it does make sense. Somebody being paid for data entry or to make calls doesn't need to be browsing the web. The thing about those process ridden jobs are that everything you need to do is already spelled out for you. They'd have monkeys calling for Acct's Payable/Receivable if they could speak english. I guess that explains the volumes of phone calls I receive that a computer generated. My solution for that is pretty easy though, if I don't hear a response to my hello within 3 seconds, I end the call.
Something about when you're at work using work equipment, the only thing you can do it the work to which you are assigned.
Needless to say I don't think I'd want to work there outside of being a consultant.
That is definitely an issue with blocking cell reception (it does seem odd sometimes when you're standing at a window and have little to no reception) and the companies that do have staff that move throughout a building or campus seem to have migrated to the use of VoIP cordless phones for their environment.
Financial industry. Turnaround time was pretty quick - usually less than an hour after their boss sent an email to IT stating it was required for their job. Adding it to the whitelist only took about 30 seconds, so it really depended on how busy a day for IT it was.
I'm not sure how many facilities i've been to that take my cell phone at the door. Camera phones will get taken even quicker. Of course, they have to know you have it on you, but some places are able to determine the location of the phone the moment it is turned on.

That is a far preferable, less intrusive method. Strip out unwanted extensions and MIME types, and you can allow users to read and write mail without the risk of a problem file coming across. It just depends on what risk the user is and what level of data they have access to.
