Ok, so in an article about the best tech cities how can someone honestly list "surrounded by Texas" as a downside to Austin? You know, maybe that the area only offers DSL (obviously not true, just looking for an example), something like that would be a "Downside".
Heres what I've determined.
1. The writer of this article is so ignorant that he assumes no one in Texas, or the rest of the country could possibly offended by a comment like that.
-or-
2. Hes intentionally trying to offend people.
Anyways, the article sucked. Wired shouldn't be putting up crap like this. BTW, check out Pat Di Justo's (article's author) livejournal profile. Most notably his "member of section":
Member of: 4: eroticbpm, philthyronchy, raverporn, vintage_sex
His quote is "A tale told by an idiot, Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."
At least he can admit hes an idiot. but come on Wired, is this who writes for your magazine?
