Serious question: Would we want them to tell us if an asteroid were going to impact the earth with sufficient force to elimate the current dominant life form?
I've been using using BluputDroid for a while. It acts as a bluetooth HID device. It's only requirements are that the phone be rooted, and the desktop have a bluetooth adapter and the correct stack installed. It doesn't require a questionable third-party server to be installed and running on your desktop. I've used it on my two HTPCs without issue.
Considering you can get a small bluetooth dongle off of eBay for $5, it's well worth the price of admission.
I didn't want to buy Steam because I didn't want to support EA in their DRM habits.
However, I had no problem installing it when it was given to me for my birthday.
Is it possible to associate my serial with the digital copy that EA will provide with Steam? Right now, I just have a shortcut in the My Games tab. Would there be any benefit or downfall in doing so?
for my home and to address the privacy concerns have written a script which deletes my history automatically, I don't have to personally log in to do it.
In any event, I don't care if OpenDNS knows I made a lookup request for any of the sites I visit. If I really want to cover my tracks, I would not use it.
However that said, I would never, ever, recommend this service for an enterprise.

What's the point if this can be ignored at the server level?

What else could it be? Obviously the tech is alien in nature and they needed to commune with the high overlords.
