Hey lets boycot Metallica. It can be just like our Amazon boycot! This will really work! Oh wait, they're already filthy rich. From what I've read of their stupid excuses for going after Napster, they're more woried about their music being treated as objects (rather than the fine quality art they believe it is). We all know the true reason they're suing Napster is because it means more publicity for them! Look at all the press they're getting! If you mention Metallica enough in the news, drones are obviously going to buy more records. I don't know anyone that's bought any Metallica after like "Ride the Lightning" anyway. They're just another washed out alterna-wannabe band now. They're a bunch of greedy bastards. Enjoy
A little more info than the measly paragraph www.uo.com gave us can be found here. Personally I think others more able have stepped into the RPG arena a while ago, I don't think Garriot can quite handle developing decent RPGS anymore but that's another story.
How nice of you to decide one freedom is more important than another. Good thing your way of thinking hasn't gained much popularity (yet) or we'd be without any freedoms whatsoever.
Give up your freedom to use Napster, Gnutella, DivX, which you seem to think is unimportant. Next thing you know certain books will disappear that aren't important, teachers won't be allowed to teach certain subjects because they're unimportant.
Gnutella is just a way to transfer files. Would you like to outlaw FTP? I find your assumptions insulting and scary.
Napster is the largest music distribution method? I would figure that radio would be a little bigger, myself. The radio is a lower-tech version of napster. I can still record whatever I hear on the radio if I want, I just don't have the option of picking out batches of what I want 10 at a time. The music industry is a fat bloated pig, it wants to squeeze every last dime out of joe dickhead. I've checked Napster, it seems like the most popular songs are by immensely popular artists. Do you really think those artists need more money? Should some highschool kid help Kid Rock and Puff Daddy buy another mercedes? Do you think RCA & Sony need more money? Even if it is theft, you're thieving from the correct people. Greed controls everything.

Last I checked, transferring files was legal regardless of the means you use to transfer them.
