Or they could have a better story: the system coming to life (because of bugs, of course) and taking over all the planes in the whole wide world in its attempt to kill all human life:D Yuppy, another man-machine war! Imagine: killing without actually stopping to think of any moral or religious issues. The machines are not really alive anyway...
Well, if we go on line, use 'Gaming devices' or God knows what other gadgets, we shall all burn in hell! Mmmkay...I am only surprised they have not found other traces of evil temptation yet! Y'know, such as the satanic symbols they thought they had discovered hidden in the P&G brand.
I am convinced that because of this group, no kid shall ever watch porn online or use their console to get to it. That's what CD's, videotapes and magazines are for! Someone should tell them they'd better expand their target!
Funny as it is, it is also painful. I am Romanian, I know a little on the subject from personal research and that little place called school, y'know:)
If you want vampire stories, ok, fine, read all you like. personally, I like the Anne Rice approach more. But when you trash some facts just for a quick trill, well, don't expect me to take your word on it.
Yes, most of the foreign people visiting the Bran Castle are from the US. They come there looking for Dracula and all they can find is a nice little castle, showing the life stile of the Romanian Royal Family (they reigned long after Vlad if you are wondering). Trust me, to them, it is disappointing. I was merely pointing out some false hopes people have about the castle. Which is quite beautiful actually, but not connected to "Dracula" as you call him.
Oh, and if you are looking for some vampire like thrills, why don't you search Elizabeth Bathory? She had this thing for killing young girls and drinking their blood. Again facts, historically documented. Vlad just liked the impalement. Thus the name...As for drinking blood, well, he was a different kind of sadistic hero:)
Well, next time try the official museum site. Here is a quote:
" Yet, whether Vlad the Impaler really ruled over the Castle of Bran is a moot point for there exists no written evidence to support this claim. Apart from administrative documents there is really very little in terms of the political and military events of the time. One thing is certain, though. In the autumn of 1462, the King of Hungary, Matei Corvin's army captures Vlad close to the Oratii Citadel, near Rucar - which is situated at about 25 kilometres from Bran - and imprisons him in the Bran Castle for almost two months. From here he will be moved to the Visegrad Citadel."
I am quite sure this is not the castle in question. The Bran Castle was not built to carry out the orders of Vlad Tepes. It had a quite different purpose in mind.
"The Bran Castle was built for two reasons: protection against the expansion of the Ottoman Empire, and its strategic position: being places on the main access road from Wallachia to Transylvania. Therefore the Hungarian king Ludovic I de Anjou agreed to have the fortress built in November 19, 1377. In 1382 the construction had already been completed."
Quote from Hotnews.ro, a Romanian news site: The local authorities of the Brasov county will buy the world-famous Bran Castle for 60 million euro and will get the money by leasing with a 10-year loan from an Austrian bank. The move comes eight months after the rightful owner of the castle, now known as "Dracula's castle", Dominic Habsburg, got it back in a retrocession process.
Well, the castle has little to do with Vlad Tepes, actually. As for Bram Stocker, there's an idea he mostly drew his inspiration from the actions of Elizabeth Bathory.:) You should look more into the subject of this castle. It is beautiful, indeed, but you would really have the wrong expectations of it. Here's the story for those interested in this topic : http://wordsofabrokenmirror.blogspot.com/2006/09/b reaking-dracula-myth.html

To you, of course it is. You seem to believe it regardless of what others think. To the rest of the world, we just happen to believe somthing else :)
Have fun!

Now, we can hardly decide two months of imprisonment makes it Dracula's Castle

You can find out more at the link I provided.
However, as fiction, the book sounds interesting.
