  1. Re:"Global bandwidth crisis" is a crock on How Would You Deal With A Global Bandwidth Crisis? · · Score: 1

I tend to agree.. remember the big y2k boggy man they invented to raise billions and billions in cash for a (nearly) non issue event. yes some outdated software wouldn't know 2001 from 1901, but there were many inexpensive and readily available fixes out (untill poo poo'ed ) by the big companies (who stood to make the most on panicing the world) i Smell another set up for a cash grab here.. i can see it now front page in bold letters 4 inches tall "WE ARE OUT OF INTERNET" "due to the shortage of internet bandwidth we will have to start charging the public their first born child and their left testicle or breast if they wish to coninue using the internet" and don't think they won't try this..lol

PLEASE..easy to install?? .. lol what a joke.. it is easy IF you have hardware that is supported... try getting a HSF modem driver for the aopen or US robotics 56k modem..or a decent vid driver for an 8X agp vid card.. never mind onboard sound chips or even simple printers. Untill xnix developers can keep up with the developements in hardware it will never be EASY to install.. and that goes for whatever flavor Xnix you care to mention .. i know I tried many and run into the same issues every time.

  3. GT being used here for years..it is good on MIT-Led Study Says Geothermal Energy Is Viable · · Score: 1

hiya; I live in canada..and on the prarries where it can drop to -40 c (-40F) overnight in mid winter..many of my nieghbors have been using GT to heat there homes for years...small increase to electric costs as the pumps run on electricity..but the savings from turning off the gas or oil make it a huge savings in the end...BTW.. greenland and Iceland have been using GT energy for many years and didn't need a big study and probable millions of dollars like the US gov to figure out it is viable..lol
