I get what you mean.. It MAY not deserve as high a rating on Vista though.. but it still MAY deserve it..
Nevertheless.. instead of worrying about the rating..
shouldn't they focus their resources on fixing the damn bug?:)
yeah, I have experienced the chinese spyware/malware. Seems like Spybot S&D & Spyware Blaster doesn't really know that it's a spyware.
Using HijackThis and other security tools provided I managed to get rid of that damn spyware with the help of an expert from a forum.
If you can stay away from those suspicious chinese sites please do.
Else it's going to be hectic for you later.
I can't believe someone known as microsoft security guru would make a statement like that.
An exploit is still an exploit. It doesn't matter if it's found in a brand new OS or the predecessor.
Thank god there are people who doesn't agree with him.
I think any OS can appears easy to manage if the user know the OS well enough.
As for me, I'm still a Linux newbie that makes Linux appear a bit hard for me.
It would takes time for me to be able to manage Linux easily.
For Microsoft matters.. it seems like they have a series of unfortunate events since like.. forever.
It's just sad that Microsoft with all their resource still can't even come up with a product slightly better than several free version anti virus. Do they still need to patch it again up until SP2?
It's a known fact that most virus/malware would prefer to target the ever popular Windows system. They (Microsoft) should already know their own problem in the first place. Looks like another poor release by Microsoft.
let's hope they do better next time!
Maybe the not-so-good things from this test would be it will give a false sense of security to the average user. The virus/malware creator will always find another new way to fool all the current Top anti virus program. It did happened before and it will happen again.
User still need to enhance their knowledge so they won't be fooled to open every email attachment that they get.
So is it safe if we relate him to a politician then? :)
There's some similarities there..
Shouldn't Microsoft make it available open source?..
Available for free..
it's for their buggy operating system anyway..
