  3. The solution is to change the end game on Marx May Have Had a Point · · Score: 1

I have wrestled this very point and come up with my solution..and that is to change the perspective of happiness from more money is happiness to basically less money is happiness. Yes, you have to have a minimal amount to pay bills and such..but the actual amount of money you really **need** is less than $1000 a month. If you buy a piece of land and pay it off, it comes down to around $600 a month. The keys are to get small, dump debt, and learn to find joy in the world around you, not in the next mass-media toy shoveled in your face. As you de-leverage your debt and need for money, you opt out of inflated taxes, you lessen your slavery to job markets and you free yourself to find happiness in the real world. Money is one of the few non-aggressive ways that we can be enslaved voluntarily. I have come to understand that money above basic needs is a bad thing. I know its a difficult paradigm to grasp and I should probably put on my flame suit.. but.. I am doing this right now and the freedom is intoxicating.

In the dead of the night, tonight, Sunday, behind closed doors, the 11th hour deal will be struck to raise the debt limit, to maintain the rich tax breaks, and continue deficit spending.

Our politicians both left and right are merely pawns of the bigger global interests of the Federal Reserve and of the ever widening group of "too big to fail' corporations who have bought our government.

I predict tonight (Sunday) after 9pm pacific time when everyone has gone to bed and it is too late to publicize, that Monday morning will show that "they did the best they could".

They will trumpet a "hard" negotiation which will not even pay for the interest that WE paid this year and will pat themselves on the back and go back to their constituents to blame the other side for not budging.

We are on the edge of total financial collapse and are being milked of every dollar they can get before we riot in the streets because of unemployment and inflation.

We should all be ashamed of the beast we have created which serves neither liberal nor conservative but merely serves to transfer wealth to their masters and pass laws which boggle the mind until you realize who they truly benefit.

Instead of sweeping reform, once again, we have received sweeping "the same".

Our first month or so we "sniped" access by driving around the motel district of the closest large city. we could always find a few bars of open wireless and did what we had to do to keep the small flame of our business going. We then found that the library in our little rural town had free internet and started going by there to make our connections and fanned the biz flames a little more. from there we tried dial up and looked into cell/3g with poor results and eventually ended up with satellite..which sucks..but not as bad as sneaking around town. Local libraries are the fall back when you dont have it in the house imho.
