  1. Hearsay evidence on Deathbed Confession Says Aliens Were at Roswell · · Score: 1

The Uncle of a co-worker was employed by the Army-AirForce in Ft Worth. He told DeeDee he saw the material from Roswell and it was not a weather balloon. He didn't know what it was but his opinion was the material was not American and maybe not terrestrial.

  2. Re:Biggest Problem on Are Mobile Phones Wiping Out Bees? · · Score: 1

But bee die off has been a problem in Europe for several years before it was noticed in the US which also tends to invalidate the plant genetic manipulation hypothesis since the EU remains skittish about such experiments in the wild.

  3. Star wars myth on The Sci-Fi Movie Stigma · · Score: 1

In making Star Wars the interest was more a retelling of the Hero mythos as postulated by Joseph Campbell (Hero with a Thousand Faces)than it was making a Sci-fi flick. A solid foundation in the tales thathave been told for thousands of years is as important as pushing trendy sociological hypotheses found in some 60's and 70's SF. My gripe is that nobody has pushed any Zelazny to the screen. Maybe a good thing since they would probably put his "Amber" fantasy stuff on before even looking at "Doorways in the Sand" or Lord of Light".

  4. Atlantis on Ocean Floor Crust Wound to Be Explored · · Score: 1

For those people writing a pseudo-science book at this very minute I have a couple of questions. How did they move Atlantis to expose this section of mantle and where did it go? And who are they?

  5. By committee on USPTO Peer Review Process To Begin Soon · · Score: 1

Base the review system on the ASTM model used for creating national standards. Each patent would be assigned to one sub-committee. The voting members of the committee are limited to only one per corporation or university but qualified private consultants/individuals can serve too. Non-voting associates of the voting member are welcome to participate in the discussion. The patent committee will serve as an advisor to the examiner with each claim accepted or rejected by consensus vote but the rejecting votes have to be backed up by evidence or they can be overridden. This is not really a Wiki-model but in the commercial arena the competing interests tend to balance one another and the private individual or University researcher provide more or less disinterested intellectual depth. Final discussion should be online in real time by phone or telecommuting. Ideal would be face time but that is impractical financially.
