Do you have any idea how frightfully outnumbered we are? If every (seriously) technically competent dsl user dropped off the world completely, I doubt they would even notice.
true, we are outnumbered, but there is nothing keeping the less technical from using the service if it proves superior.
the act of agreeing to sell at a later date at a fixed price was what I've always understood as the loophole many IPO people use to get rich fast off of the IPO... is this just an example of VA geting caught for what millions have done before them?
I'm going to patent the Y chromosome. Anyone posessing or using any derivative works, such as the penis, will be charged a licensing fee. unfortunately, it appears others in a competing industry have stolen my Penis Technology (tm) and created cheap knock off devices being marketed under the name Dildo, as witnessed in this commercial. If you are using a penis without proper licensing, you will be hearing from my lawyer.
what are your thoughts on making Plex86 into an para-OS that allows many OSes to be installed and run co-currently? do you see it as being plausible? or even possible?
---
Hi Kevin,
I've been lurking on the development mailing list for quite a few months now, and I'm wondering where do you see Plex86 going in the future? virtualization of as many OSes as possible? graphics virtualization? or some other tangent that hasn't been discussed yet?
---
if GNOME or KDE or whoever manage to get that happening, then the non-Windows tribe can then claim that *nix can do on-the-fly resolution changes without having to restart the OS. Note that I've no idea if Windows 2000 or ME can do this.
windows 95 could do this, depending on your video driver, and how you had the advanced options set. it was possible to change resolutions without rebooting. sometimes. ---
it seemed to me almost all of his answers were basically: "I see your concern, and if the Clinton -Gore Adminstration has their way, your worst fears will be realized, that is why you should vote for me"
this isn't why we should vote for bush, but why we shouldn't vote for gore. makes me not want to vote for any of them. Go Harry Browne!
from those sites, I found that the ViaTV phone uses H.324 protocol... a search on that found me this tasty nugget. from those specs, it appears that this phone starts a 28.8 modem connection to similar phones...
it appears to me one of the main features of this phone and it's protocol is the ability to operate over POTS, and I doubt it could tricked to run at a faster rate...
who needs drugs? I'm tired, strung out, paranoid, and probably delusional from staying up all night coding. Drugs? I don't need no steenkin' drugs, I run Linux.

I am also really interested in finding a free PC-phone product that supports linux. This is the only thing that makes me reboot when I want to talk to my girlfriend when she is away at school.
I've read some articles and seen some shows on this topic. The details escape me, but it was something like this:...
I actually just sent in an application for a job at this company, and looked at their website. there is a real video promotional thingie, that is kinda cheesey, but shows off all that the gadgetry can do...hold on a bit while I find the link...ah here it is.. Real video format. enjoy. ---
I don't see how this law applies to DVDs and DVD players, but what about another some other issues? My cable modem provider makes you subscribe to cable television (a company which the ISP is a subsidiary of). Now, I would like to eliminate that cable TV bill, cause I don't watch much TV, but It seems I'm not allowed to do such a thing. Is that legal?

*meekly raises hand*
I am red-green color blind. I do not want to be patented. it's very scary to think about someone patenting part of your own genome. yikes.

hmmm... maybe they could
since so much of the chip is in software, maybe they could correct it by modifying the chip's firmware...
it is Geek Code

anyone else amused that this story was posted at 2 in the morning?

(and it is sheep, not penguins that can't get up when they fall on their backs).
I used to raise sheep. They can get up when they fall on their back.. it just takes a few tries and some effort.

Wouldn't it be something if the Chinese were the first to put a man on Mars? Don't laugh, it could happen.

a company can have premium and common stock. INTL is premium, INTC is common.

this seems to answer all of the problems but PC-Phone...the only one I was interested in. phooey :)
