I don't suppose they could do anything to stop you picking up the Cisco box they supply you with, and when you go to a different country, taking it with you. You could then plug it in to a different network and have all your friends/colleagues call you on a US local/national number.
Sounds pretty good to me, (except that I live in the UK, and I'm sure it'll never happen over here!).
If I am buying anything over a few £'s in value on ebay I tend to ask for the sellers number at home and at work. I can then call them a couple of times to arrange delivery etc. and also validate the phone numbers.
I can then check the address they give me (to send payment to) against the one held in the phone book for their name and number.
I usually end up with their home address (validated), home and work phone numbers, their employers name, their job title and their e-mail address. I feel that with this amount of information if anything was to go wrong, I would be able to do something about it.
