With the US being in a small recession, it is expected that some companies will be going into the Red. However, it is apparent that with Intel's partnership with M$ and IBM that AMD may never be able to truly compete with the "Coalition". It's quite a shame too, as AMD's processors are a lot better than Intel's.
That is just the way our country will be until Open Source developers rise against the machine and take what is rightfully ours, back.
