That doesn't make any sense. Saying that the students shouldn't be liable for abusing security and placing that blame on the school district is just like saying if you have a security system protecting your house and someone breaks into your house by bypassing your security system that YOU should be held responsible and not the person that breaks in... that's absurd.
I know myself I compromised school security systems when I was there with no ill intent either, however, that doesn't mean I wasn't at fault.
But maybe that's just my opinion,
