That's incorrect. That is the Release Notes page for the RC, but the download link (mislabeled) actually leads you to Beta 4, which obviously predates Beta 99. If you install Beta 4 after Beta 99, you'll corrupt some files that you'll need to delete manually afterward. I learned this the hard way today.
If you already have Beta 99, just check for updates from within the browser.
Precisely. This is nothing more than differences in the default TCP settings. XP does not handle high speeds very well without further tuning. Vista is much, much better about that and you don't really need to tweak it at all. Unix/linux-based systems have better TCP stacks with more appropriate settings for handling high speed connections, which is why Ubuntu beats XP but does not beat Vista in speed comparisons.
Since when is Buddhism out of date? The world would be a FAR better place if the Christians, Jews and Muslims were magically converted to Buddhism, especially if it were one of the more secular flavors of Buddhism. In many cases, it's more of a philosophy toward life than a religion.
it's pretty well established [wikipedia.org] that Jesus was a real, historical figure. Actually, it's not established at all. There is no incontrovertible evidence for his existence. None of the evidence for his existence as a real person is solid and unquestioned, contrary to popular opinion.
Really? I'd love to know how to get music to and from my iPhone 3G without iTunes. As far as I can tell, there is no way to do that.

Yeah, true. I just ordered a Core i7 system with 6GB of RAM and an nVidia GTX 260. It wasn't that expensive.

I hate to nitpick, but the word is viruses, not virii. You may not return to your regularly scheduled program.
