I don't think Intel even knows what 'peer' means. In any context where one entity is a peer, all entities are peers. So the phrase 'peer-to-peer' is redundant.
Also, 'P2P' has been long used in networking to mean 'point to point'. Using it to mean 'peer to peer' will be a source of unnecessary confusion.
So let's just be concise and call this very old, well known and useful concept 'peer computing'.
