There are not too many of us. Human beings are our prime asset. I tribe of a few hundred humans is not going to be discovering relativity or developing fusion power.
The Tea party was formed in response to the bailouts, most notably they really got started when Bush blew the first trillion. They gained strength with each following splurge. Ideally, they will help to prevent such things occurring again (not that Obama isn't trying. Though that seems to be mostly a political ploy at this point)

Interesting. I've had similar thoughts myself. I'll have to keep an eye on you, demachina and opportunist. The whole retirement thing is a demographics issue, it doesn't matter if the "investment" is public, through the government or private. The simple fact is that with people living longer, they'll have to work longer.
Do you also set your clock five minutes ahead to get to appointments on time?
I really don't understand why some people need to be lied to to operate properly. And it's absolutely infuriating when I stumble over the results of it too.
I have heard of the overheating issue and have seen places where it could theoretically physically be an issue. The sucking up water & rust I'm in complete agreement with you. The only possible issue there would be from crap floating on top of the gas.
You cannot full-drain one of these devices without physically disassembling it. There is circuitry to prevent further drain once a certain limit has been reached entirely to protect the battery (and device) from damage.
The fact that it says "totally discharged" in the manual does not mean that the cell has been discharged to zero, merely that it has been discharged as far as the calibration process will take it (or until the safety circuitry kicks in, whichever comes soonest).
Just ask George Lucas. He ended up with part of the audio of Revenge of the Sith mixed in with Return of the Jedi. They never did get the whole Han/Greedo scene ordered properly again either.
Indeed. The iPhone (or more correctly, something like it) was the next logical step from the Palm TX but instead of pushing things ahead, Palm imploded.
The pinout for the ipod connector is available and would probably make interesting reading for you. It caters for analog A/V, serial IO, firewire, USB and a couple of TBAs (if I remember correctly) amongst other things. My own opinion is that Apple should include a mini/micro USB connection in addition to that connector (though I'm sure that would be detrimental to the accessory market). Not that it matters to me, I've long since dropped using my nano in favor of my Android phone.
The laws are already in place. It sucked when buy.com and newegg.com opened fulfillment centers here cause suddenly, tax. I wonder if they will have a case for equal treatment.
What is the USA supposed to do? Adhere to the constitution. Circumstances change and the constitution does not cover the situation? Amend the constitution. It's not rocket science.
So, what's your point? That it's better for the federal government to be able to make such laws and have it apply to *everyone*?
If power is devolved to the states, if they come up with laws you don't like, you at least have the option to relocate yourself or have your voice be proportionally louder in trying to change those laws.
Take a look at your state constitution. It likely somewhat resembles the US constitution (mine does). There's a reason for that and it makes your hysterical fake examples irrelevant.

I thought it was referring to the guy who used to be on SNL
That's a lot of words to dance around "Yes, there's no evidence"

Yeah, seriously. Doing drugs is cool.
Ironic statement considering the likely direction of the weather in the coming weeks.

Maybe the AAA could furnish people with towable generators?

You're missing my point a bit, I think.
This whole thread has got off point.

They're set if someone can bring in a half-dozen batteries once a week by station wagon or hand dolly.
Or, perhaps, by bike.
Ron Paul passes the "Is the candidate a lying, corrupt sack of shit?" test.
Unfortunately, I disagree with him on how to run the country.
The two may not be unrelated.
If only the administration's attorney general showed the sensibility of that gunsmith....
+1 Interesting/insightful
Anyone who thinks that everyone voting for their own immediate self-interest will result in a stable system is deluded.

Let's not forget also that Apple dropped the 12V charging, rendering many accessories useless for new models.

Citizenship should never have been a defense anyway.
