By the way, at least the article managed to put forth some conjectures, even if they don't cite any studies.
Yes, but what kinds of conjectures?
Men have had to conquer foreign lands, win battles and wars, compose symphonies, author books, write sonnets, paint cathedral ceilings, make scientific discoveries, play in rock bands, and write new computer software in order to impress women so that they will agree to have sex with them.
I mean, come on... if the authors believe that writing software impresses women, their credibility pretty much goes out the window, doesn't it?
The first woman I see mouth the words "NO!" when some cowardly dork proposes to her in front of thousands of strangers is the woman I'll divorce my wife for.
That leads to an inevitable question: how did you propose to your current wife?
I think it is a silly idea. I was having a similar conversation recently with a friend who owns 5 cars (yeah, he has some issues, but I own 4 computers so I can't really point any fingers). Anyway, if the purpose of the registration fee is to offset road usage, it would put an unfair burden on my friend, since he can only drive 1 car at a time.

Slashdot is REALLY going downhill: now even the comments are dupes
