That rocks i've done that too! And if i get their email address and it's @aol.com i either don't write or i think, 'well, i guess we'll just be friends...'
That's no good... Netscape supports plenty features that IE doesn't have, it needs to support the ones that that IE already has and Netscape doesn't. Some of these features are propietary, but many are not.
Though Netscape may never be able to fully support M$ VB script, it may, for example, enhance it's support for stylesheets and take a look @ javascript functions that only work in IE.
Please. Netscape really offends a large amount of web developers i know. If we don't want to develop pages that look cool in Netscape, who will want to use Netscape if they have a choice?
Didn't you say you'd both graduate in 6 months? You two could get jobs in the same place then - but if you ask me you may want to avoid living in the same place for a while. Go to CA with this guy or something, the weather is paradise:) (i'm here wearing a sweater in DC)
A lot changes when you get out of school... is that guy someone you'd like to change with? If not, you need to find someone you can change with - or maybe no one for now, whatever.
I'm just saying chilling on the relationship for a few months is couldn't hurt - what's a few months when you two could end up spending years or your whole lives together? On the other hand a few months of not going out with someone that you weren't meant to be with anyway is nothing.
I don't know you and it's very likely that i could be completely wrong. If so, sorry, just trying to offer some encouragment.
I have been geeking for years and am not yet fat (though i am PHat). I barely work out... i just watch what i eat and never take the elevator to my 4th floor office:)
Because i'm a chick, i was always afraid to meet people online in RL (The Big Room:) ), because "they" said that online people were all perverts. Now it seems to me that i meet just as many perverts in The Big Room as i do in RL.
Instead of meeting people online, i try to just get to know people online. For example, met my current boyfriend @ a club... he asked me for my phone # and i wrote down my email address instead, like i normally do when i meet a guy. If he doesn't have an email address, i couldn't have a relationship with him anyway:) . We talked on ICQ and emailed for a month or so before we went out on a date.
Concerning meeting Geek Chix, online isn't a bad place to look. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of us here in the DC area, but the ones i've met have been:
@ work @ clubs & in places that sell lots of computer books & coffee
