Ah-hem...lecture time. Capitalism and democracy are not interchangeable terms. Capitalism is an economic system while democracy is a governmental form. Here in America we actually live in a capitalist democracy (to one degree or another) there are counties that are socialist democracies. Please for the sake of accuracy and keep this in mind.
BTW, yes the US government has some socialist programs. And thank god for that, because if we didn't we'd be a lot more like China is now.
