Wouldn't this method limit the cloaking mechanism to only work from one viewing angle? It seems to me the cloak would need to have hundreds of complementary images embedded in it to prevent someone from seeing it who took a step to the side. That, however, causes the problem of the complementary images distorting areas around the cloaked item, therefore making the cloaked item even more obvious.
Is there something I'm missing?
