WOW! I was reading your post and thought 'what a small world'. My fiance and I met online about 3 years ago (infact I think our story is on here somewhere from 'siva')and he is a real geek.
I like computers and have learned so much from him over the past few years and he has learned far more about bacteria and biology that he would care to admit. I now train dogs and really enjoy my new career. Seeing that your girlfriend trains dog too, I just had to drop a line and say something.
Although SMP doesn't do a thing for me, nor at the mention of dual processors I get weak in the knees, I do express a general intrest in computers and have come to enjoy learning a different OS thanks to him(he actually got me running linux for over a year).
I think it's great when two people with different intrest can get together and not only grow into a loving realtionship but also grow to be more rounded indivuduals because of one.
Now, if I could just get him to agitate some 120lb German Shepards for protecetion work... ;)
