That is correct to say Intelligent Design is not a science; as it does not describe a discipline of science per say. It is an idea or concept that can be described by science. Evolution is the same thing. What people seem to forget is that the reasoning that bolsters one or the other would either be scientific or not. Evolution and Intelligent Design are nothing but theories! In any society that values independant analysis and critical discussion, the actions of the UK Government would be deemed Draconian, Authoritarian and just plain wrong.
