I'm not sure how this is going to work because there is a back log of immigration applications going back years due to 9/11 and immigration strikes. Currently for some parts of the work the wait is up to 36 months to get Canadian landed immigrant papers.
The back log may be less in British Columbia, but this is not certain.
The only way this is feasible is that there is a special process and concessions for IT workers going to work for companies like Microsoft.
