I'm sick of slackers like the people above me. What is so hard about taking a few hours, or reading a book, so you can learn how to use the CLI, an infinitly powerful tool? If you have enough time to read/. , you have enough time to learn linux.
Python makes perl look like a pile of dog crap. Perl is the most unstructured mess of a programming language ever created. "Hmm, what else can I throw in this language?". Also Python handles OO style programming MUCH better than perl. Forget perl, teach your children python.
Logo is a great little language. Dont cut it down. Its a functional style language that makes a great introduction to something like scheme. I suggest logo, then scheme.
