Which outsiders would have trouble differentiating? In addition to the liberal bumperstickers all over town, it's obvious from the types of folks and businesses you see on Mass Street that you're not in Kansas anymore, Toto. You don't see that level of everyday weirdness in Aggieville (Manhattan, Kansas' lame equivalent). I bet there's a "Keep Lawrence Weird" t-shirt out there somewhere.
