  1. Why not RSA + iButton? on Username/Password - Is It Still Secure? · · Score: 2

If you want a secure communications media, you can make an application which comunicates trough a secure socket, but designed by you. You can use RSA, as an example and use 4096 bits keys, since you dont need a time critical application. The user sits in fron of a computer and opens the communication software then he inserts the iButton, so he has acces to the communications. The message is encrypted with RSA with the user identification (from the button) and is sent to the server. You dont need e-mail, https, ssl or anything else, you just write all the apps. When a message arrives to the serve, it replies to the corresponding Dr. Obviously, the server has to generate a pair of public and private keys when the client connects, and send the public one. The client generates a pair too, and sends the public, so everything is encrypted. And the patient doesnt have to remember anything!!! he just brings the iButton. Francisco bigjocker@yahoo.com
