sure, I can understand not buying Card's books or wanting to give him any money at all, But, what about the other people involved in the movie, who may or may not share his same beliefs, by boycotting the movie you also affect them as well and they had nothing to do with Card's opinions or actions.
If you want to boycott Card, don't buy his books. But boycotting the movie that is simply based on a novel he wrote will affect many more people, some of who may even support the cause Card is against. So now by boycotting the movie you may also be affecting your own cause.
