I have the same problem. I'm currently a software tester testing an internet product. So of course I spend 40 hrs per week at work on the internet. Also I have a cable modem at home so I'm on the internet 100% of the time there. Ahhh I must me the worst addict ever, er wait I forgot where I was. Silly survey, tricks are for kids.
Is not blocking Jon's posts another form of censorship? Not being exposed to disagreeable ideas leads to closed minded views. Simular views are held by those that are pro censorship. How far is that stretch. Also when exactly did the essay say it was pro porn??? All I heard was that porn, which is much worse than South Park, is readily available on the internet.
Does anyone know if the rumors I heard about the Matrix are true. I heard somewhere, no idea where right now, that They might not be releasing the Matrix to video stores because of the black-trenchcoat wearing, gun toting heroes in the movie.
Also, perhaps kids should not be allowed to see rated R movies, but Their parents should be allowed to make that decision. My parents decided that I could see rated R movies as long as there wasn't too much sex in them, and I turned out ok. Well at least I haven't gone on a murdering rampage yet. Besides as Jon said, it's all a waste anyway since they'll just see the movies, or play the video games, or find the porn by themselves. I know I did not have any problems and we did not have this newfangled internet thing back when I was a kid, (i'm 22 BTW).
There is a difference between not reading something you don't agree with or do not find interesting and using filtering or shutup software to filter out people. By using the latter you will never come across ideas that you could find interesting. Not picking up Bill Gate's book or any other book is Freedom of choice. If it or any other book was filtered out you would not see it on the shelf at all. In fact you would not know it existed. That is what Jon is against. I want to be given the choice not to read or see something. Even if that means that I have to spend an extra second or two deciding that I don't want it. So you see you're not really using shutup software at all, even if you decide to ignore the same things over and over.
Is anyone planning on running against Gore for the Democratic nomination? I'd like to have a candidate that had a personality. I know the Republicans are not going to field anyone worth voting for and the other fringe groups will never be taken seriously in our bipartizen govenment. I'm not looking forward to Gore being my only option, but I'll support him if no one else comes along.

Hypocracy is the greatest luxury.
