So out of curiosity - if you evaporate all 'higher' life forms on earth would the human race evolve again? If evolution is indeed correct would this be true?
Sorry - but I don't buy this article. Can you tell me that in 4 years, that there was never a power disruption to that machine? Oh wait - I'm letting my california bias come throught - we're not used to having power for 4 days let alone 4 years.
There is no fine line between adultry or not. Its a grey area (like many have mentioned). I don't think you can define a certain act as adultry or not. I think it is the intentions of your heart that defines it.
This is no surprise to me. I remember when the genesis was the hot thing out. Then they came out with the cd-like drive for it claiming that "Oh My God this is the greatest thing since - get it and you'll be happy" Then what happened? They dropped it and came out with another product saying "Forget the genesis - this is way better - we won't drop it - promise'" While I have a dreamcast and love it, it boters me that sega drops things so easily. What is gonna happen to the online functioality? Will sega continue to support those communities? What about games like Phantasy Star Online- whose whole concept is for online play... though a dreamcast for 99 bucks is a pretty good deal... Which would you rather - that or a PS1?
The problem I see with this is follows:
People who want to use napster will have to pay a subscription fee. So in order for ME to make MY mp3 (or whatnot) availble I will have to pay. But besides that - the people who primarly use napster are people who DONT want to pay in the first place. So when these people do not sign up for a subscription to napster, napster's whole service becomes useless. There will be no files avaiable to 'trade'.

Yeah - thats not something that drives me nuts, what it does do is get upset with the big sites for claiming that they ARE the internet. People need un-media-tized education on what the internet really is.
I explain it like this:
Internet is to Cable, like computer is to TV... Make sense?

Energy required to climb 300 km - E = m*g*h = m*9.8*300,000 = 2,940,000*m Joules.
Energy required to reach - 7.73 km/sec: E = 1/2*m*v^2 = 1/2*m*(7,730^2) = 29,900,000*m Joules.
Energy required to with your kids - priceless
