  1. Re:Without Star Wars, would it make /.? on Sir Alec Guinness Dies · · Score: 1

Does it have to have a logo next to it to put it up as a news story?? Sure /.'s idea was innovative but does that innovative idea stop us and does that idea run every story that is posted up here and the format in which it is posted up here is my question.

  2. I don't like /. for putting Alec under Starwars on Sir Alec Guinness Dies · · Score: 2

OK this is the tops /. put Alec Guiness under the title of Star Wars. First of all he hated his part in Star Wars and anyone with even the slightest knowledge of Star Wars knows that. Secondly to encompass one of the greatest actors lives we ever knew under one symbol is bad; what if we classified Patrick Stewart under Star Trek; kind of sickening isn't it. Sorry I had to mouth of this is disgraceful and I am desperately waiting for my overdew Mobo.

  3. M$ over the years has exploited stuff like this on Kerberos Loophole May Be Closed/Apple Getting Kerberos · · Score: 1

It is a known fact that microsoft has robbed, pillaged and raped standards open to the community to enhance it's goals, they have taken code and put a proprietary spin to it making it their standard, allowing them to have complete control, it is a good thing that they are planning to clamp down kerbos, cause M$ is getting seriously out of hand.

  4. Yeah, I have seen being implemented before, and on on Web-Based Helpdesks? · · Score: 1

Yes, I have seen this kind of idea being implemented, there are no real drawbacks to it, it works quite fine, depending on how important the security of the emails is going to be it will present you with a problem, but other than that it works very well, I had implemented it once, it is very good. No big draw backs.

  5. Ohhhhh what a shame. on Youngest Software Executive is Three Years Old · · Score: 1

Ohhhh, what a shame, what a shame, what a shame, It all had to come to this, a three year old with a knowledge of Office gets a job, while those who know every conceivable language in the world won't even be allowed to become a janitor. I think this is child labor and a huge publicity stunt, M$ has been having low sales in Thailand and looks like this is definetly a publicity stunt. And the kid maybe cute, but if you need your father to spell check for you, ummmmmmm I think something is definitely wrong.

  6. We have everything ready for an onslaught likethis on China Plots Cyberspace War Strategy · · Score: 1

You guys may not know this, but during the Kosovo war we were ready to hack into computer mainframe's and shutdown electricity etc.. It is not practical however for China to attack the U.S. in this way simply because of the fact that their whole export and import system is based on the U.S. hence it would be foolish for them to try anything. This infact is a cold war in a sort.
