Gonna pass this on to my boss, hopefully now we can move off of our terrible, terrible proprietary sorting software...Good to see open source breaking inroads in so many areas!!!
If you have the tech and resources why not use it to its somewhat full potential. VLC will do a multicast broadcast. Just use that if your network can support it.
Here in the good 'ole capitalist USA (not to say that's a bad thing) we don't punish Corps. for actions like this anymore. If that is what you have to do to make a buck then go for it. I think the best example to date is AT&T's immunity from any and all lawsuits during the wireprobing debacle. Free Market was a bad idea...it should have been Fair Market (in the sense that you should be fair to your consumers).
Still, some of these companies must use OSS software and employ OSS developers, and it seems that that is where most of the outcry comes from. You'd think that people would stand up for their morals and beliefs rather than the almighty dollar. Ah, how cliche that sounds, but how sweet it would be if it were true.
So many people in the technology world seem to be worried about censorship of user's rights online, and some must certainly work for the vendors who supplied Iran with the "sophisticated" filtering technology. My question is why are companies supplying countries with a known track record for human rights violations and crimes against people speaking out against the government?

Support TPB. Down with MPAA, RIAA, MPA, etc.

Possibly, but you could argue that they aquired Time Warner simply because of the environment and the times. (i.e. Ebay buying skype...)
And we are still feeling repercussions from the burst...
