If you just got your first computer this morning from ol' saint nick (or OLPC), wouldn't you want it equipped with the functionality to access the internet??? (even if it is riddled with security holes that will have your new computer slower than ever before new years)!
I doubt very many computers (any OS) would be sold if they did not come out of the box with this option...
I'll bring over a CD of FireFox sometime next week, and get you surfing...
