  1. Problem is it's still crap food. IT seems the UK feeds their kids garbage just like the US schools do.

    That burger is garbage, the Breaded mystery meat sticks are garbage, I see only one thing that has ANY nutritional value and that is the tiny portion of what I hope is a real vegetable on there.

    Flat out amazing that this crap is passed off as food.

    And every dollar you spend OUTSIDE HSA on Medical is also Tax advantaged. You get to add them together come tax time.

    So negotiate a lower price with them. I did that with my dentist.

    With HSA you are in the drivers seat. Doctors give BIG discounts for "can I pay you up front?"

    Only if you are silly and spend your HSA down every year. I've got $8600 in my HSA right now. that $2000 deductible is nothing. MAybe you need to raise your contribution out of each paycheck and stop buying everything on the HSA card.

    They are in fact mass produced, only the earpiece is custom moulded and that is done by the doctor.

    A friend had to get a pair after his hearing was damaged in Afghanistan, a pair of automatic rifles going off next to your head to kill the scumbag running at you with a RPG.

    His hearing aids are identical to the ones you can buy for hunting. Except his has a custom software EQ curve installed for his specific hearing loss.

    Same reason I am carrying around an 18.5 inch laptop. It's easy to carry because I'm not a hobbit that has a problem with anything about the weight of a paperback.

    Then your data is worthless. Fair enough, why spend money backing up something worthless. Mine is worth a lot, so I bought a drive and Linux has the software built in to do everything for me. " I must be stupid. Or you know...I'm just being realistic." No, just lazy because your data has no value at all to you; I can understand that.

    Oh and nice irrational exaggeration... 18 backups, really? It's 5 incremental, 1 weekly full, and 1 yearly full. every Friday I bring a new backup to work and take the old one home to re-use. Do you know nothing at all about a simple backup system? This is computers 101 kind of stuff.

    dirty tapes are not a problem with a robust tape backup system. the IBM Ditto was a joke in reliability (It was actually iomega who made it). SDLT writes in multiple redundant tracks. I have read tapes that were sitting in water on the floor for 3 days. It's why the old DLT format renewd as SDLT is still used at all corperations, and junk like Ditto and other tape formats are all dead. Ditto was always a unreliable format, I used to fight with those years ago and chuked the 5 drives and 900 tapes we had in the trash replacing it with DLT. Travan came out, but it was as unreliable as Ditto was (same tech as well.) and also died as far as adoption goes.

    The reliable format survived, the rest died.

    a 21" laptop is a sweet spot that I think apple could pull off as a Super macbook pro. I know a lot of artists, photographers and video people that would buy on in a heart beat. Give it dual hard drive bays, 32 gig ram capability, and it sweetens the deal.

    OS in comparison, IT's like wanting a macbook Air and buying an ACER.

    Silly argument. Most expensive toaster is http://most-expensive.net/toaster at a little over $350.00 Although I can get a turbo Chef for around $3000, but it does more than toast.

    And if I could afford to have a turbo chef in my home kitchen, I'd not bother with an icky repair man in my home, buy a new one where the icky delivery guys are only here for a few minutes.

    and I see it as a Major PLUS!

    It means in 3 years a Macbook Pro will be sold on the used market for a LOT less than current models with a replaceable battery. Those of us that actually have a brain will be able to trade an hour or so of time for a $300-$400 lower price on a used mac laptop.

    Hell I now have two iPad 2's that I paid nothing for except for the price of a new digitizer front and 1 hour each to replace it. They were GIVEN to me, one is a 64gig 3G unit.

    I want apple to make everything hard for the general moron to fix. Because it turns into a boon for those of us that have ability and IQ.

    I keep the incremental at home yes. I keep a pair of Weekly Complete at work in my desk, and a yearly pair of tapes go into the safety deposit box at the bank.

    Granted I don't have a LOT of data to back up. I have a SDLT 320 drive and tapes and I dont use compression so I only have a total of 320 gig of data backed up Off site. I'll upgrade to SDLT600 when I can afford to and I can always expand to 3 tapes for a complete backup. SDLT tapes are cheap.

    Their need to go to Megaupload to retrieve should be the last case. Oh crap, my offline is dead, oh double crap the backups of the offline is dead, Time to grab the files from online....

    Oh crap....

    Now it's the data owners fault for using shitty backup medium. Hard drives are unreliable at best. If your data has any real value, you BUY a backup medium with a proven track record of robust and low failure rates....

    That is why all my data backed up at home is on SDLT drive tapes. If it's good for Corperate america, it's good for me. Anything less is just playing around with toys.

    it's the same thing. Hire someone to find the jerk that is harassing, or the police can get off their butts and stop eating doughnuts long enough to do their job. It is not hard to locate someone who is doing this online without making new laws to force a company to roll over and do the cops job for them.
