    er a Ford, a Ferrari or a Dodge, it has to come with a 2 liter Toyota Deisel engine?

    That has a governor on it that will limit the speed to 48mph, and the windshield wipers wont work until you pay for the upgrade. Oh and the CD player will only play non burned CD's to protect you from copyright infringement.

    finally it can only go down the road with a certian brand of tires as the wheels are required to be 19.78 inches in diameter by the motor. so buying 19" tires or 20 inch tires that fit a standard will not work.

    Because handing a screen printed real CD in a full color printed sleeve looks far more professional than some dork giving you a burned one with marker writing on it.

    Honestly, when you introduce a new os to someone, making it look really professional goes a very long way.

    They were never for you. They were for people to give away.

    I used to get packs of 10 or more at a time and used them to introduce people to linux in a "commercial way" I converted many at work this way.

    Sad that they are ending it because of assbags not using it right.

    They only have 3 lines so try late at night or keep redialing.

    While you are there try the new linux thing. You can download the first disk set of yggdrasl there. It's really cool!

    Where's the object that made crater lake or the huge crater in Arizona? It's fricking all over the place in tiny pieces.

    BUT, this is not a real crater. Sorry but you don't get a hollywood looking burning pile in the middle. an impact that hard will disperse the "hot projectile" almost everywhere. PLUS, the size of the object o make such a small crater would be very tiny and certainly not cause the burning pile that huge in the middle as seen on the video.

    The whole thing is a poorly done joke. Glad to see Latvian kids now have lots of time on their hands to screw around like this.

    Holy crap! an entire industry sells things called Spark Plugs! Sparc needs to send in troops to Bosch and Delco and sue everyone!! SUE SUE SUE!

    Honestly, it should be written in that law that if your "defense" is completely stupid, you muse pay 2 million plus court costs to your victim.

    In this case, their defense is completely and utterly stupid. I think the CEO needs the death penalty over this one.

    your "distortion" will only affect an area around you for around 100 feet. that's it. if you hada 10 watt one you could cover 100 meters but you certianly will not disrupt communications outside a small circle around you.

    I know, I have messed with Cellphone jammers. even 10 watts is not highly effective.

    Seriously, I am a libertarian at heart and these people are NOT libertarians. Even the guys on Free Talk Live think what is going on is nuts.

    Just because some uneducated nitwits are trying to stir up the FOSS people does not mean ALL Libertarians are doing this or even back this.

    Most Republicans are aghast at the actions of the 30 senators that shot down the no rape clause bill. Even though those 30 senators are for rape, most Republicans are not.

    Are you nuts? only with maybe a 1000 watt transmitter blasting across the band on a high gain antenna directly at the cell tower. There is no way in hell you or anyone else can modify a callphone to jam a tower. hell good luck even jamming a single channel with your tiny power output on a handset..

    Exactly, I have yet to find a Cellphone that has the modem DSP a soft DSP that is a driver in the OS that is running it. and I have been inside every cellphone model made in the past 5 years.

    Um yes I can, Please give me the LAWS that state otherwise.

    I can do ANYTHING I WANT with my phone. I have an openmoko on AT&T and they cant control my phone other than turning off service. I can do anything I want with my phone, and the worse they can do is turn off service.

    They would not have used it.

    AT&T decided that good working 850mhz around here needs to be replaced with the useless 1.2gig crap. I went from 5 bars in the house to 1 in a couple of spots because of their retarded decision. They dont care about better coverage, they care about better profits.. 1.2 gig gives more profit as it carries more services they can overcharge for.
    Whitespace would not have had the profit margins they wanted.

    Yes, put in DVD, click rip, walk away. Unless you have some weird computer that launches out shackles to hold you there watching, you can do other things while it rips.

      I ripped a new netflix this afternoon while I ate my lunch, talked to my coworkers and surfed the net.. total time spent by me is 12.2 seconds anyDVD+handbrake script = zero effort DVD ripping to xvid.... I accidentally pressed eject when I inserted the disc so it took longer than normal.

    If my PC ran perfectly before upgrading to Vista and now it barfs a lot.....

    you and I know it's the app, the other 98% of the population see it as " I installed vista, now we have problems". This is how the people that matter in business see things. Thus Vista is a turd for most businesses.

    Sounds good, I'll rip all them to Mp4 Xvid and they will play on their PC/whatever. I'm betting DVD players will be sill available in 20 years, hell I can still buy used 8mm film projectors from 40 years ago that still work perfectly.

    1 - not really, ripping takes exactly 12 seconds of my time, the computer can be my slave for the rest of it, hell even a modest current PC is not slowed down when it's ripping and converting.

    2 - If the masses want simplicity and convenience, then Apple TV and netflix already fills their void.

    You dont have those top two problems if you buy a mpeg4 playing portable hard drive with all of them ripped on it.

    I installed one of those for a friend in his Minivan, the kids now have 72 hours of brain sucking Disney and Nickelodeon movies on it they cant destroy. They love violating copyright to save money from damaged and lost discs.
