You might have noticed though that this bold libertarian freedom you have in mind is less free than the freedom you are currently enjoying and seems to involve even more jail for stupidity rather than crime.
Now we get to the root of libertarianism
"you're free to do whatever you want!"
"Great, I'm not going to get vaccinated"
"That was really stupid why did you do that, go to jail"
FREEDOM!

This is just about the wrongest thing I have heard today. All video containers have a header that defines the audio rate, it is almost impossible to make the mistake you are discussing here.
The RIAA curve is added at the cutting stage by the preamps on the lathes and isn't relevant to the studio master which in the days you were discussing would have generally been done to 1/4" tape prior to the digital days. So it shouldn't affect any subsequent remasters which would be done from the 1/4" master tape or remixed especially for CD. The problem was just shoddy engineering and despite the "Loudness wars" argument a lot of early CD remasters were mixed too quiet because they thought they had so much dynamic range, unfortunately trying to use all that range leaves the amplifiers sounding sterile on most systems that don't have a lot of power.
Why are movies so expensive to make? The cost seems almost unbelievable and almost never bears any relation to the quality of the film (above a certain threshold) what does that tell you?
I don't think you know what government mandated monopolies are, understandable as you are American. The monopolies exist because the companies are colluding to not compete, please explain how that makes it "government mandated"? Anyone stupid enough to mark this insightful can feel free to chime in as well.
If people act like the corporations did people would be standing in the middle of crowded streets shooting people in the head while shouting "Lol, standing my ground".
You're on the wrong site, everyone on here knows better than everyone else who ever lived. I wonder if these "professional" mechanical engineers have considered using teams of highly trained monkeys, probably not because of all their book learning preconceptions.
I used Synfig to make some animations and would really recommend it, takes a bit of time to get used to but it's actually pretty great when you get used to it.
** The common saying among NASA astronaut candidates was "suck up to go up" if that helps explain things.
As opposed to all those other fields where they say "treat everyone like a dick to go up"?

I largely agree with your comment but I'm not too sure about the lack of lines. Why don't you show us how far past light speed you can go.
Whales aren't fish, that's why he survived! Take that science.
At least they're not so paranoid they think they need to be wandering around armed for battle.

Great, please explain why your plan of reduced taxes leads to more jobs, please show examples (real ones, not allegories).

What if a law was passed that said any company presided over by a man named Tim didn't have to pay any taxes provided he did a sexy dance for you?
Oh come on, Civ players are masochists but even they draw the line somewhere.
America has always had a national debt. Might want to check your memory and preconceptions.
Money is Debt, you clearly have no idea how money works

Ah, I see now, that colossal ball of thermonuclear fire doesn't count as an unusually large amount of energy.
I don't know, does it take an unusually large amount of energy to warm something the size of a planet by that much?
I just took a dump on your lunch plate, is that a technical problem for you to solve or would you rather skip lunch?
It would be cheaper at least.

Audacity should be competing with Sound Forge and Wavelab, but it hasn't changed in the last 10 years or more and it shows.
I'm sure according to your logic whale oil will soon be feasible again too.
The pope's response seems to be "don't be surprised if you get shot every so often"
