Check out Interbase (Borland/Inprise/Interbase Corp) which will be released into the Open Source community for version 6.0 in a couple of months. An earlier version (4.0) is available for Linux already. Websites are : http://www.interbase.com/ http://www.interbase2000.org/ This is a great database, admin free, and rock solid. It is a step above PostGreSQL, and comes with better documentation. I'm not sure what the maximum number of users is, but we're talking more than 100 simultaneous connections.
