This whole think makes me wonder if criminals are using these places to launder money?

  2. Self Taught... on What Skills Should Undergrads Have? · · Score: 2, Interesting

You're really going to have to teach yourself. Remember the college only prepares you with the basics. If you want to really impress your potential future employers you really need to know the stuff cold. You can't expect some over-paid college prof regurgitating text from a book to properly teach you anything. Join a group, network and get ideas from other people.

  3. Bigger Issues to Solve First.... on GM Says Driverless Cars Will Be Ready By 2018 · · Score: 1

While the concept of a driver-less car is really cool its not really practical at this point in time. You would think that Detroit would be focusing on much bigger issues like how the foreign car makers are KILLING them in market share. Last I heard Toyota overtook Ford for the top spot (I could be wrong on that one). They should be focusing on bigger issues like increased fuel mileage and building better quality and more reliable cars. In my opinion we make crappy cars. Every American owned car I've owned has been in the repair shop about once every 6 months with huge repair bills to boot. What we need is 100 mpg on cars and not the pathetic 35 mpg that was just passed in the last Congressional Energy bill. American cars need to be engineered to last longer, be cheaper to repair, and be astronomically more fuel efficient. You can have all the driverless cars in the world, if they break down every 5 minutes no one will buy them. We need efficiency and innovation; we shouldn't be forced to choose one or the other.

I guess in my opine it's way too early to tell. The media is covering this like flies on s--t. So its all hype for now. We all have are favorites and eventually it will whiddle down to a select few. These primaries are really a non issue at this point. These primaries will flip-flop back and forth. The DNC and RNC will be the big news events.

I understand that I was being fecisious. I guess MS is kicking themselves now because they didn't buy them when they were small before they went public. I was also commenting on the total utter lack of creativity coming out of Redmond. In the past they have chosen to buy other ppl's ideas instead of coming up with their own.

If Microsoft was smart they would just take every availble dollar they have and BUY Google. Why not.. they've bought up all the competition before. Why innovate when you can just buy everyone else's ideas? LOL
