  1. What good can come from this? on Napster Shut Down Until Trial · · Score: 1

Has anyone ever been hurt because of mp3s? Has any_one_ (not corporations) lost money because of mp3s? I challenge you to show me figures of actual individuals being hurt because of Napster.
The corporation's predicted socio-economic effect of Napster is no where near being serious, when compared to real socio-economic disasters.
I know this is cliched, but what ever happened to the artist who didn't care about money? It's sickening to think that the RIAA is acting on behalf of so many artists, who could supposedly loose so much because of Napster. So they all are greedy talentless images whose personalities are determined by market surveys?

The RIAA will never win, even if they can twist our excuse for a justice system to the extreme, and "win." Anyone reading this message should feel the neccesity and urgency of organizing a boycott/demonstration against the RIAA. I am going to go order a bunch of anti-RIAA stickers.
Now a summary for those who are too lazy to read full sentences (oops!) :
    RIAA : FUCK YOU.

. My low chip PONG caught the attention of key Atari people and they wanted to hire me.
What a shinning example of how things used to be, when corporations weren't afraid of users understanding and configuring their technology, when pride and knowledge came before money and PR. I guess Atari's success (or lack there of) really goes to show how a real business model and a real quest for imagination does for you in today's tyrannical corporatalist economy. Those were the glory days, but if you squint hard enough you just might be able to see some of the future woz's today, in court. With corporations scaring them out of their imaginations and dreams.

  3. I hate Compaq, And I hate you, DAD! er.... on Linux Training from Compaq · · Score: 1

I think that this is another attempt to strike while the proverbial iron of Wall Street is hot. Anyone remember the old Compaq Desktop PCs? Or the new ones? The proprietary hardware and software design? The pathetic customer service? Maybe they pulled a 180 and got their bag together, I wouldn't know. I refuse to touch anything affliated with Compaq's PC (or business) department after the months of emotional and financial pain they put me through. I really do not trust Compaq's ability to furfill any promises. This linux stuff is just another facade, almost as bad as LinuxOne, if you want my opinion. Compaq is in it for the money, there isn't anything new here folks, move on.

  4. Does anyone actually own a Jaguar? on New Atari Jaguar Game Running $1,225 on eBay · · Score: 2

Does anyone else think that there isnt really a fanbase for this game? Just a couple people on e-bay that think they can resell it on e-bay again in 2 months? I am waiting for my PSX2, this is old cheese.. -Fred http://www.fredbenenson.com
