    From the standpoint of business continuity, IT professionals need to embrace these types of concepts/projects. IT is so often looked at as a cost center, and consequently get hit with tight budgets and a never-ending justification for head count. So as an IT Director or manager, it would behoove you to document all of your IT processes, network architecture, server architecture, backup designs, etc. What is the company, your boss or you going to do when a regional natural disaster strikes (Katrina)? "Geez, I was so worried about losing my job that now that we need to recover in order to save all of our jobs, I do not know/remember how those disks were raided, where the backups are and where all of our VPNs are documented." Not documenting a process for fear of losing job security is dribble from the mouths of non-professionals. What if pilots decided pre-flight checklists threatened their job security?
