This is yet even more evidence that/. doesn't check to make sure the articles being posted are complete nonsense. I'd rather read about Diablo III than a bunch of black people in a remote village using cell phones like apes.
What will this mean for other "timewarping" devices such as my Hauppauge PVR card? The technology in the card is different, and my computer's software is doing the timeshifting, but if Dish loses this case would it be too far fetched for Hauppauge, ATI, or MSI to get gunned down by Tivo?
There are many types of cancer. Some curable, most not. How widespread do you people see this becoming (nanotubes, or really nano-anything) being used in medicine to help treat cancer or other medical conditions. Does anyone have an example of nanotechnology deployed in humans? As far as I am concerned, I see Diablo III being deployed sooner than nanotubes in humans for cancer treatment. Nice/. article.
It is truly amazing that we live in a time like this. Fifty years may sound like a long time to you youngins, but this is just a blip on the grand scheme of things. We are very fortunate to have such incredible advances in technology. We have computers that give us the ability to control every aspect of a space launch, embedded computers in toys to help children learn, and personal computers to connect with one another and entertain with movies or games such as Diablo III.
Don't take this era for granted.
These hacking games are a great way to put the latest in security technology to the test, but I am more concerned with games such as Diablo III. When will Blizzard announce Diablo III. I hope they don't make it into an MMORPG like World of Warcraft. That would just ruin the Diablo franchise. If they did that, it would really only be serving the fans of WoW and there will still be all of those Diablo fans left with nothing new to chew on. I want Diablo III damnit!
Where did the year 2033 come from? Just because there are more embedded electronics in devices these days, doesn't mean people are going to give up the power obtained from a big box sitting underneath (or on, or wherever) a desk. Then add the post about no LAN in the future. There will always be a need and application for a LAN.

I second that!

It isn't off topic. We are talking about games here.
