Last comment (I promise): Gaviotas web page is great, it's a shame it's all in english! In Colombia they speak spanish so... it would be a bit difficult for them to use their approaches.
It is a damn good idea. I really hope the OLPC project works well, I'm not against the project, just in case that's your feeling and finally hope that it can be expanded to the whole country and to all third world countries. Ten million people from Colombia who live in extreme poverty are waiting for a chance. I agree they need tools to overcome the situation by themselves.
Next time I write the word justice I'll be more specific. I was wondering whether you have lived in SouthAmerica, Africa or Eastern Europe... It is difficult to understand the situation - the necessity for "justice" - if you are out of the context.
As I wont write anything else I just want to say that it IS good and I'm glad that someone actually cares about third world countries. I guess that's the beginning (and better than nothing).

Besides the Linux-Microsoft dilemma what Colombia needs is justice, not the leftovers of first world countries.
