my school supports it sorta. I mean the VPN software has linux versions. But some classes require office, with addons that only work in windows. So while they support linux with stuff like vpn. The computer requirement for business school is that you have a windows laptop, not mac.
have you ever used leopard? It is the same resource hog as vista. If not more, less secure, updated slower and less often, runs less software, requires atleast 2GB of ram to run good.
Every leopard user (with any sense) knows this. But everyone fails to mention this. When the mac vs pc comes up.
Also mac picks the hardware for leopard and its always enough HP for the OS. If microsoft used the same hardware that mac uses everything would run just fine. The problem is so many windows users try to upgrade to vista on old outdated systems. And while mac users try to do the same thing they give up because leopard runs like crap on old hardware.

Also DNA never goes straight to protein. It goes DNA > RNA > protein...
Also DNA is coiled to either turn it on or off. This is all old commonly known.
Windows 95 was awesome... but the first versions were crap the 95b was the best one.
But that said Vista is the best OS i have ever used. I am saying that with experience in leopard and ubuntu.
Leopard is good and I enjoy using it but its not near the product of vista. And ubuntu is pretty much a joke when compared to the top player OS's.
Why do you people hate vista so much? I have no problems and its explorer is revolutionary, its search feature has no equal and of course it is the most compatible OS. What i really love is when people talk about how great an OS is such as ubuntu or osx. Then they talk about how they run windows (vm or whatnot) so if they are so great why do you ever have to run windows? Windows is an OS that you can use and never have to dualboot or run a virtual machine, that only makes it superior. Though its missing expose which i really like but thats about it.
the problem with all your arugements against vista/microsoft is that, most people such as students, businesses, hackers, and many other people. Need microsoft becasue thats where the programs are, i have atleast a dozen programs that have limited or no function of linux (ubuntu included) or mac. I even have programs that wont work on vista 64bit:(. So unfortunately it isnt microsoft creating the monopoly it is the software makers.
And even with a mac you still are bound to use microsoft for things such as office. Yeah yeah i have heard "use open office" well oo sucks balls and is hardly compatible with office(if you dont believe me try making graphs and calculations, using commands like linest, in excel and send it back and forth). Even the mac office has problems on complex data sets and scripts from word and excel.
So until you unix lovers and mac lovers can provide the mass with quality programs and games. We will listen to you tell us how much better and secure your linux and mac (aka, linux minus the great open community) is, while we use better programs, play better games and are happy to not be as smug because we think we are better than anyone else.
