100 and 200 are not "just" numbers. These are representation of a geographical position. If you consider it as numbers I do not agree that you are using the correct strong types. If you add the restrictions that they represent a geographical position in degrees, only then you have a really strong type.
This is what XML Schema offers you. Maybe XML Schema is not the best standard ever. But to be interoperable you have to have a common weadly spread standard. And that is what XML Schema is.
