you are counting on Slashdot to do your graduate project for you?
No, the submitter is just asking for ideas. 99% of the work is the implementation, and the submitter is not asking for any help with that.
My 2 cents: The two problems to avoid are: 1) Groupthink, where dissenting opinion are drowned out or ignored. 2) Onerous or arbitrary rules that drive away experts, so you are left with only clueless idiots commiserating with each other (example: answers.yahoo.com).
Yes, but that 1% of inspiration is what the thesis markers are looking for, its what distinguishes one thesis from another.
99% of tbe infrastructure of the internet is written in c/c++, every OS, most of the webservers, all of the dns infrastructure, most mail mta's, most routers,. It would be infeasable to perform a complete rewrite.
You do realise that if an algorythm running in some gov datacenter farts in the wrong direction whilst processing your email, becuase no goverment code ever ever contains bugs, then all that could be taken away from you with increasingly less and less due process. We are building the machinery of the ultimate totalitarian state.
The satellite datasets directly integrate temperature over almost the entire globe, with no interpolation and no revisionist "adjustments". They use laboratory grade instruments, and are frequently calibrated against balloon soundings. And no, there is nothing magic as far as detecting temperature trends gained by measuring at ground level only.
It's beyond ironic that NASA is trumpeting ground-based measurements while ignoring better data gathered from space.
I think that tbe design is intented to be printed on your own 3d printer, not sent out to a service. At that point each of the parts reduces to a few cents each. When i reviewed the parts there was an obvious 3d printed t piece, in fact it was one of tbe larger parts. This sounds like a troll.
1) You can build a 3d printer easily out of scrap parts, its not complicated. 2) Most 3d printer tech comes from india and china, who dont have the same problems with shipping stuff to that part of the world. 3) if you want to a 3d printer can be broken down into a bunch of small parts that are easily smuggled.
You can probaly guarentee that some of the idiots on this site have used thier email account password as the password for the AM site, and in most corps that is also the password that provides access to thier network accessible resources.
Once you get access to somebodies email account, you can pretty much take over thier life.
In places where it has been tried, its always had a net positive impact. Young people stay in education for longer, so become more educated, that impacts positivly in the local economies. Each of the experimental trials also noted that the number of people working increased as people could slide into work and picking up a few hours work a week did not cause thier income to crater. Once the "traps" are removed people are freed to grow into either full employment or to a level that suits them.
That requires a whole system of means testing, punishment for non declaration of addintional income etc, basic income just avoids all that, no rules, so no rule makers and no rule enforcers. Im supprised that tbe US folks are not more responsive to this as its the ultimate form of goverment shrinkage.
The photo in the article is wrong, the one in the picture is the litmann device, i have looked at the printed parts and the assembled product looks nothing like the one in the photo. It does not use a y tube at all, but has a printed y junction box. Straight lengths of tubing connect to that. The diaphram in the cheap printed one is a circle of plastic card cut from a file folder.
Both Russia and the Philippines have a booming business in catering for high quality medical care at lower prices. I belive many other countries do the same. Dont assume that the US is the only place in the world with access to high quality medical care.
The inflatable cuff is used to cutoff blood flow, until the pulse cant be heard in a steth, the bulb on the cuff is then opened and air released until the pulse can be heard again.
And who in thier right mind gets undressed in front of an open window, have people not heard of binoculars, you dont need a drone to see into somebodies window.
Yeh, its a real dampener on things when you have to load your c compiler from cassette tape every time you want to use it.
"To the american public internet"
There fixed that for you....
It might be in your neck of the woods, its not in mine, thank god the internet is global.

What does "upside the head" mean?.

Wont work on linux or mac osx though :-(
That's amazing! Especially, given the complete lack of correlation with the satellite datasets:

And the first satelite was launched when?
Ohhh certainly not in the late 1800's.
Now here is man that actualy could do with a few weeks inside a tinfoil hat...

You do know, dude, that a camera doesn't actually STEAL YOUR SOUL,
People say that a lot, but technically a camera is making an illegal copy of your soul.
No its just making a picture of the packaging it comes in.
