It seems to me that all of these "solutions" do expand the potential for Open Source -- anything that puts more of it on more of corporate America's machines should be viewed as good. But there's a lot of round hole, square peg going on. The history is clearly: I code because this is something I want or need. Witness the comments. Kickrudder is a consulting firm that works for the developers. Completely upside down. What interests you? Great, we'll find it a home. Or maybe not, but that's the aim. Work at what you want, when you want, where you want. If you don't throw up at the idea of money for effort, and you're really good, this "anti-company" might be OK.
