Some excellent points here. It's a real shame. Most documentation is really, really poor. I went to look at the "user documentation" for the Base module of OpenOffice yesterday, and after 10 minutes when I FINALLY found it, it looked like three ten-year-old schoolboys wrote it. Not gonna fly, I'm afraid
The real keys are in low-choice, great GUI that does EVERYTHING and great documentation and help systems. Ubuntu is moving in the right direction, but there is much more to do.
