there is no rgb lights behind the film in a regular projector. I use to be a manager at a movie theater and its anywhere from a 3000-5000 watt lightbulb that projects the film. The color comes from the film.
I started BBS'ing about 10 years ago (sheesh). I grew up with computers playing these door games: Usurper, Lord and Tradewars. I also remember that they took up a great deal of my time. I can remember my mom waking up at 6 in the morning and finding me connected to a BBS and asking if I had been up all night. Of course not mom, I woke up early to finish some homework. When I was old enough to support a board I had my own MBBS board with 4nodes. MajorMUD was the big attraction. Man the days, I still have it on a cdr somewhere on my desk. Slashdot needs to host a bbs since most of its readers are spawns of the BBSing days.
