Sugar and artificial food coloring, and other chemicals, cause kids to 'act up' and traumatic situations at home cause them to 'act out'. In this way a child who has a chance to be a normal, contributing member of society can be formed and then marked as a 'problem', and of course can come to believe the label must be true.
Let's not forget how many successful and 'genius' level people had problems with the structure 'provided' in our schools, and were considered disruptive and lacking potential!
