It's definitely true that Ukrainization policies are creating tensions within Ukraine. And there exists strong support for some parts of it to secede to Russia. And there were better ways of resolving them than staging a coup and shooting at law enforcement. In fact this coup only gives Russia a reason to invade and many here are happy to oblige. If state borders were made to match national distribution Ukraine would end up losing a lot of territory so only sane strategy for them was to de-emphasize national aspect and become a cosmopolitan state on territory of former Ukrainian Soviet Republic. Instead radical national elements are trying to build a national state without losing any territory which doesn't make sense.

Well, I definitely could live without a PS2 game that could be better implemented on PC with more powerful hardware. Sometimes it's better to either use more powerful hardware or scale back on your requirements so that you wouldn't need to push the capabilities of hardware too much. Then you don't need hacks or architecture compromises dictated by silly hardware quirks. After all games are made not by pushing hardware to its limit but by well-designed gameplay. No matter how powerful hardware gets game programmers always find a way to create new difficulties for themselves. It definitely doesn't come from desire to make a good game, but from desire to play with hardware. Project requirements are artificially inflated to make a challenge for programmer and create more opportunities for hacks.
